歐盟專家組在對28天試驗以及毒理學評估進行研究的基礎上認為，將日落黃的臨時每日允許攝入量量（adi）由 1 mg/kg bw /day 修改為 4 mg/kg bw /day，與食品添加劑專家委員會的意見一致，不會造成安全問題。在現有mpls與使用水平之下，人群的暴露量低于 4 mg/kg bw /day。
